Dokploy: Self-Hosted Deployment Without the Vercel Bill

Open source alternative to Vercel, Netlify, and Heroku. Deploy your app to your own infrastructure, keep the revenue, ditch the platform fees.

Dokploy/dokploy ↗

Dokploy is a deployment platform you run yourself instead of paying Vercel or Heroku to run it for you. You point it at your code repo, it builds and deploys automatically, and your app lives on your own server or cloud account. Why this matters: those platform fees compound fast once you're shipping regularly. A solo builder moving off Vercel's hobby tier into their pro plan is looking at $20-50/month per project, multiplied across a few apps. Dokploy covers the same workflows (git push triggers deploy, environment variables, logs, rollbacks) at zero monthly overhead. The tradeoff is you manage the infrastructure yourself, but if you're already comfortable with a VPS or AWS, the admin burden is minimal. Solid fit for teams shipping multiple projects or solopreneurs who've hit platform pricing friction.

Dokploy: Host your apps yourself, keep the margin

Email blurb

Open source deployment platform. Same workflow as Vercel/Netlify (push to deploy, logs, env vars), but runs on your infrastructure. Zero platform fees. Good candidate if you're shipping multiple projects and platform fees are eating into margins, or if you want to avoid vendor lock-in. Self-hosting means you own the admin; not the move if you want turnkey ops.

Dokploy does what Vercel does, but runs on your own servers. Push to deploy, auto rollback, env vars, the whole flow. Platform fees go to zero. Tradeoff: you manage the infra. Worth auditing if you're shipping multiple projects and watching margin.

For teams shipping multiple products: Dokploy is an open source deployment platform that replaces Vercel/Netlify/Heroku. Same developer experience (git push to deploy), runs on your infrastructure, zero monthly platform fees. Self-hosted means you own the operations side, but the ROI scales fast once you have 2-3 apps in flight. Worth a test if platform costs are a line item in your P&L.

Just deployed my side project on Dokploy instead of Vercel. Same workflow, zero monthly bill. Been running it for two weeks now, and the simplicity is hard to overstate. You get a dashboard that feels native, Docker under the hood, and full control of your infrastructure. The repo is at 8k stars and actively maintained. If you're tired of vendor lock-in or watching your hosting costs climb, this deserves an hour of your time. It's not flashy, but it works.

deployed on dokploy today. no vercel bill. no netlify lock-in. just a clean dashboard, docker, and my own server. 8k stars on github. worth the setup if you ship often.
